The Learning Commons (formerly the Academic Resource Center)
The Learning Commons (TLC) supports all students who strive to do academic work that is imaginative, well-organized, accurate, and memorable.

We are located on the first floor of Roy O. West Library, just to the right as you come in the main entrance (Room 101).
The Learning Commons includes three Centers:
W, Q, and S Tutors听are ready to provide you practical suggestions, feedback, and encouragement.听
Most sessions are in-person, but the W and S Centers also offer remote options. For more information about how to sign up for and join an online appointment,听.
You may meet with a peer for advice about all sorts of assignments:
- essays
- problem sets
- oral presentations
- research projects
- homework

W Tutor Eliana Alzate '26
Eliana Alzate is a senior English Writing and Computer Science major at 富二代视频app University. She previously served as editor-in-chief of The 富二代视频app newspaper, and currently works as digital editor. Beyond journalism, Eliana writes nonfiction stories, poetry, and literary essays that explore her identity as a Filipino storyteller.

W Tutor Elly Froehlich '27
Elly Froehlich is a Junior Political Science Major and Peace and Conflict Studies Minor from Traverse City, Michigan with an interest in law. Her on-campus involvement includes being an Honor Scholar, a member of Alpha Chi Omega, and playing clarinet with the University Band and Orchestra.听
